My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Bossy, but I’m not a bossy dog. I’m not sure why I was given that name and neither does my foster mom, so she has been calling me Boston. I am three years old and weigh 26 pounds. I am thought to be a Mountain Feist mix. This is a newer breed that started in the southern part of the US. I have a beautiful brindled short coat so my shedding is pretty minimal.

I am a happy dog who gets along well with other dogs and cats. I get along with everyone. I might be a little shy at first, but once I have a little time to get to know you I will crawl in your lap and snuggle. I love to run and play with the other dogs and people. I enjoy playing fetch. I like to go for walks and I walk well on a leash. I am a good co-pilot in the car and like to go for rides. I am a dog you can keep with you all the time, and that is the way I would like it.

Now some information from my rescuers:

Bossy is one of the 29 dogs Fur Fun Rescue took in from Arkansas after Hurricane Harvey.  Bossy was at the shelter we took him from for just short of a year. He is such a great dog, it proves that these small shelters just don’t get people looking at the dogs they have. He was so happy to be out of the shelter he has loved every moment of his new life in foster care. Bossy would really love another dog in his home to play with and probably would not like children under 10.

Bossy is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and microchipped. Bossy was heartworm positive and has undergone treatment following the American Heartworm Society's protocol and is all ready to find his forever home.
