My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Emmy Lou is a VERY special young lady bunny. She is near and dear to her foster mom's heart (if she/the foster mom could be a failed foster (again) - she would choose Emmy Lou to stay. But, alas, foster mom knows you can't adopt them all... Even as much as you want to...). And so Emmy Lou is seeking a very special furever home - to never again suffer the way her life began.

Twice pregnant upon sexual maturity, Emmy Lou was abandoned at a high kill shelter/North Central Animal Shelter's (LAAS) with her husbun & her barely weaned kit, and delivered her 2nd litter at the shelter - all while battling a nasty infected/abscessed eye. She and her brood were literally lifted off the euthanasia table. To say she had a rough start is an understatement!

But with her rescue by Bunny World Foundation, so began the turnaround in her life. She immediately had surgery for the eye abscess; and though she did lose her eye, she healed and is an otherwise healthy beautiful girl. She nursed her surviving babies and once weaned, she had her spay surgery. Her kits, Bobby Lee & Billy Jean, have been adopted and now Emmy Lou is ready to find her special furever home!

Emmy Lou is a particularly "wise soul"; she is a smart lady (I was scolding Billy Jean for plant nibbling & when Billy Jean didn't listen, Emmy Lou crossed the room and corrected Billy Jean herself!); made me giggle! And she gives love (kisses) to her humans & bun friends, is good with human handling/picking up, and has good litter box habits. She is a terrific girl!

If you are interested in adopting Emmy Lou, please contact Bunny World Foundation at info@bunnyworldfoundation.org and we will send you an adoption package.

Thank you!
