My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rosie, an 8-year-young female Snowshoe Siamese. Her bright blue eyes and beautiful coloring are striking and make her stand out as a true beauty, though she doesn’t realize how special she is. Rosie loves a good scratch under the chin and to make biscuits next to her person. She’s a love.

Rosie came from the Sacramento SPCA. An elderly woman turned her in with her other pets (a mix of cats and dogs) when she had to move. She wanted them all euthanized (!!) but luckily the shelter knew they were too precious and gave them a second chance by asking Jake's Place for help.

Rosie’s foster family has two kids, two cats, and a dog. She really loves her foster mom but doesn’t necessarily care for the rest. She seems to be quite happy in a quiet house with nice adults. She could probably get along with another pet (as she was with them before) but she really would just prefer to be the only cat. She’s not aggressive, just scared. It took her a week to come out from under the bed when she arrived but now that she knows she’s safe, she’s happy.

Rosie is easy to handle, not vocal like a lot of Siamese, and very low maintenance. She just likes to hang out in the house and enjoy the view from a window or sleep in a warm nook. She would be a great companion for someone who works during the day as they wouldn't have to worry about her being home alone. Tip: Rosie prefers dry food over canned food and doesn’t eat much despite being a big girl.

This cutie loves windows and fresh air but prefers to be inside. Her foster family has a safe garden for her but she really just wants to look out at it and not be in it. And, she’s not a door darter at all! Phew!

Rosie is spayed, tested for FIV/Felv, vaccinated, and microchipped.
