My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cleo, a healthy, super social 3-year-old boy looking for a new loving home.

He joined his current family when he was 4 months old. He is super friendly and social and has been an indoor cat due to the risk of coyotes in their neighborhood. Cleo’s “mom” is looking to rehome him because the kids have left for college and her work is requiring her to travel more often.

As Cleo is a very social and friendly cat with adults, kids, and other cats (he has not been exposed to dogs) he would do best with a family that is home more often, and has children and/or other cats around so he can have the interactions he needs. Keeping him at home by himself and putting him in a cat hotel while travelling has not been an ideal solution.

Bonus: If you are needing someone to look after Cleo during YOUR vacation time, Cleo’s current mom is happy to take him back for short periods of time (she lives in Mill Valley most of the summer months).

To learn more about Cleo, reach out to Debbie at 415-548-0824 or email adoptions@jakesplacecatrescue.org.

Cleo is considered a Courtesy Listing. We offer our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cats.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All of us at Jake's Place are committed to helping you find the right cat or kitten for your family situation. You can download our application and contract here on the website. We have our cats and kittens listed with a little biography of each, as well as many photos and a video of each. Feel free to call and ask questions about any of our cats. We would also love to meet you at any of our adoption events or possibly we can arrange a visit with the foster family. Our adoption fee is: $110 for a cat or kitten; $150 for a pair; $80 for a senior (8+yrs). This fee helps us to pay for testing (FIV/Leukemia), vaccines, parasite treatment, spay/neuter & microchipping, as well as anything else the cats might need while in our care. Seniors may need blood work or a dental care. More about this rescue

The volunteers at Jake's Place are diverse group of dedicated animal lovers. Some of us have worked in rescue before, some are new to it. Some of us have known each other for years, others more recently involved. Having all come together in the last few years and finding that we had the same passion to help cats, we started thinking about the possibilities of putting our various expertise to work in creating something wonderful. While Jake's Place is a relatively new organization, our work goes back 14 years and our energy and drive is stronger than ever. We are committed to rescuing responsibly, fostering in loving & caring homes and finding the best possible forever homes.
