My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Love Beagles? Have a look at me, JOSH! I’m about a year old and currently 27lbs. I’ve settled in quite nicely in my foster home and get along well with my foster fur sister. I do need some help with leash manners as I get really excited when we go for walks (hey, can’t blame me). I’m super friendly and I just can’t wait to meet all the new people that come my way. My foster mom took me to the dog park and I LOVED IT! I got to meet new friends and had so much fun! I also went to a holiday party with lots of other people and dogs and everyone said how friendly and great and good I was! I will make a great family dog that anyone would be proud to have. I’m not mouthy at all and super gentle for a young pup. I’m also house and crate trained. I do shed since I’m a beagle, but you don’t mind right? I will be your best friend forever!

Here’s what my foster mom says about me:
“Josh is a lively and sweet boy who is very much a typical hound... he loves to follow his nose! His nose is usually pressed to the ground on walks, and no squirrel escapes his notice. He loves to chase balls, too, and is learning how to play fetch. A social butterfly, Josh loves to meet and greet every person and dog he sees. Josh needs help with learning to walk on a leash- training is recommended. He is house trained, and knows the sit command.

Inside, Josh is an absolute snuggle bug. He loves nothing more than to be right next to you getting pets and scratches. While still a puppy and prone to excitement, his disposition is quite calm and relaxed. He loves to play with his foster sis Mara, then take a big drink of water and settle down for a nap. He also enjoys a good game with a tug toy and working on chew toys.

Josh would do well in a condo if he has the proper exercise and social stimulation. He needs daily exercise and social interaction as well as basic training. Josh would do well in a home that already has a dog or on his own. He is family-friendly.

Josh is crate-trained and has not shown any objection to being left alone for reasonable periods of time.

Looking for a gentle, playful, and sociable dog who will shower you with affection? Apply for Josh today!”

As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details!
