My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This impressive looking, loving companion is Seliya, a 6 yr old female Mastiff X.  She is a good-natured girl who is playful with other dogs (likes doggy day care and the dog park) and very friendly with people making her a perfect family pet for fans of these gentle giants.  Mastiffs, like Seliya are devoted and loyal protectors of their people.Seliya has been living with her human since she was 9 weeks old.  Her sister Dizzy joined the family when Siliya was 4.  They’ve all lived happily together until recently when their rental accommodation went into foreclosure. Their human, whose health is not good, searched unsuccessfully to find a new affordable home for herself and her two canine family members. It is heartbreaking for her to think about life without her pups, but she sees no other choice but to look for a new family to care for them, like she cares for them herself.  A huge home isn’t necessary to have big dogs like Seliya, but a little extra space is highly recommended!  Traffic jams and roadblocks will be an everyday occurrence if you live in a small space!  Mastiffs like to follow their people from room to room and to sprawl out wherever you spend your time.  A fenced backyard would be great too, but no outdoor living for this girl.  Couch potatoes might think Mastiffs are kindred spirits but although many, Seliya included, have medium - low energy, they still need walks several times a day and trips to the dog park 2 or 3 times a week.  Mastiffs are working dogs so Seliya needs exercise and socialization activities to keep her healthy and to make her life more interesting.  If she is cooped up without proper exercise she might have to create her own mischievous fun! Some of her favourite things to do are playing fetch and swimming.  She can even ride a paddle board!  And this smart girl knows how to shake a paw, high ten, give hugs, roll over and play dead!  She would love to have a task or a mission to accomplish so spending time with her new humans learning even more advanced tricks and commands would be very good for her happiness and self esteem.Seliya is a classic gentle giant: loving and peaceful at heart and affectionate toward her family.  She is happiest when she is close to her people so she needs a home where she will be well loved and included in all the activities and outings. Her vaccination and exams are all up to date and she is spayed.  She is healthy and had her teeth cleaned about a year ago.  She enjoys chasing cats but likes playing with ferrets!!Adoption Fee - $300Both Pups - $500
