Is anyone looking for a sweet girl who's practically the perfect dog? I'm COCO, a calm and gentle Cattle Dog who is about 8 years old and 30lbs. I was rescued from a fire with other dogs but my family had to give me up for adoption because they no longer had a home.

Now I'm with Just Paws and looking forward to my new life! They say that an old dog can't learn new tricks, but hey I'm proving them wrong. When I first got to my foster home, I didn't know how to use stairs and now I'm totally acing them. I never beg for human food, I'm very satisfied with my own. I'm already house trained and I get along great with my foster family's kids. I love kids, and I hope I get some when I'm adopted.

Don't I sound amazing? I do have to say though, I'm a little wary when I meet other dogs. You see, I lived with way too many others so I want to be the only one in my own home. I mean if you lived with way too many other people, you'd want some peace and quiet too, right? When I meet other dogs I just give a soft growl to let them know that I'm not ready to let them into my personal space yet. Once I've had some minutes to get to know them I'm ok and have no problems.

I'm looking for a nice house with a fenced in yard to lounge around in. No condos please, that's not for me. I'm a pretty quiet girl and like I said, calm and gentle. I wouldn't even be a good guard dog because I don't even bark when someone rings the doorbell haha, although now that it’s been a couple weeks I do enjoy calling out to people and dogs passing by the house.

I know I'm an older girl and they say that combined with my colour makes it harder for people to want me, but I know once you meet me you'll fall in love and won't be able to imagine your life without me!
