HELLO? LOOK AT ME!!! This mostly hairless puppy boy may look and act like a Chinese Crested, but is in fact a Maltipoo (Maltese x Poodle) puppy who was born October 19, 2018 and comes to us from a breeder. Yes, this cute 10 pound puppy boy has a very interesting story to tell!
When he was neutered by our Vet, skin samples were taken and sent to the Marshfield Wisconsin Labs (division of the Marshfield clinic) . We had an idea what caused this puppy to be hairless, but tests confirmed this shocking, extremely rare (once in a life-time sight!) GENETIC DISORDER:
ECTODERMAL DYSPLASIA!
You’ve seen and heard of a Chinese Crested and how about a Mexican Hairless dog? That is exactly what Patches has! Again, this is a genetic disorder that basically deals with its x-linked nature and tends to manifest in males. It is NOT contagious, NO special care is required, NO special food is needed and NO neglect or abuse is involved. Patches is just a very, VERY SPECIAL and rare dog!
***Patches has no concerns about his outward appearance as his true beauty comes out with his extremely friendly, sociable, outgoing and fun loving attitude! Something we all can learn from!!***
This puppy boy is very curious about everything! He loves all the Poodles here! Even the Pomeranian “Thunder” is trying to get into the picture with Patches.
HELLO!!!??? Are you still reading about Patches here? This is a very active, sociable puppy boy who greatly enjoys running and playing with toys. When he is done playing, he just LOVES to be held and cuddled while being reassured that he truly is beautiful!
Finally, Patches is also an extremely smart boy who is quickly learning about house training with our “puppy routine”. He will also run up and down the steps, comes when he is called, LOVES TREATS and is greatly enjoying life as an active member in our home!!
What else can I say? This special boy is a rare opportunity for the right family willing to accept all the attention you and this Maltipoo will get when you take him out in public. He just loves attention too!
A fenced yard will be required as he is not leash trained. NO large, aggressive or assertive dogs and NO young children.
To the right family, Patches adoption fee is $400.00, which includes our Minnesota state sales tax. He is up to date on all of his shots, he has been wormed, placed on a heartworm preventative, Home Again micro-chipped and registered. Also he has been been Vet checked “healthy, strong and sturdy” and neutered.
His adoption fee also includes a leash, collar, his kennel, a bag of quality puppy food, treats, toys (which he loves!) a folding toy box, new blanket, a big, soft doggie bed, along with lots of good information to help your puppy adoption move forward on the right paw!

Like most all reputable rescue groups, because we do home visits before and occasionally after the adoption, we do NOT adopt our Poodles to homes outside a 1 days drive from our location here in central Minnesota.
