Hello, I am FITZ and I will steal your heart when you meet me!

When I arrived at my foster home I took no time at all to settle in. I just love being with people, and I get to play with three foster fur siblings – we are getting along great (as long as they are gentle and calm). I’m OK in a crate for a very short time but I do cry if no one is around – I much prefer to sleep in a bed where I can sleep/burrow myself in the covers. Did I mention I like to be around people who will give me kisses and cuddles – meeting new people is exciting and fun for me. I don’t think I would like to be left alone too much as I need my people (or another dog for company). I like to go for walks and am working on my leash training and manners with my foster Mom and Dad. Since I love food so much, I’m sure my training will be easy, especially if you give me treat rewards and positive feedback. My energy level is probably low to medium and I do shed a little bit. I might be OK in a condo as long as I’m not left alone for long periods of time, and I do need my exercise with a walk and playtime. A house with a fenced yard would be good for me as I do like to run around and play.

“Fitz is extremely attentive and curious. He is very quick to become attached and enjoys a daily routine. He is calm for the most part, but can occasionally get excited (he is still young). Fitz enjoys car rides (but make sure you harness him in the car as he is small). When we come home, he greets us with the cutest cooing noises when welcoming you back. Fitz is an amazing little dog!!! Anyone would be lucky to have him as their companion.“
