My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Molly came to us from a home with many, many cats where 'birth control' is practiced by keeping boys in one room and girls in another. Every now and then, one 'gets out', and so it happened that Molly, barely a teenager herself, got pregnant and had three babies. Unfortunately, Molly did not receive the prenatal care and food she needed, and so by the time we took her to one of our amazing fosters, her kittens were, one by one, losing their battle to survive...and Molly was very weak herself. Luckily for Molly, after eating plenty of good food and taking the time to rest and recover, she slowly returned to a healthy weight and has since regained full health. At first, Molly tends to be very shy, but she has learned what toys are, and how sweet and loving people can be, too. Molly longs to find a dedicated person willing to patiently earn her trust so that she can finally relax and begin to enjoy the home life that she so deserves. Approx. DOB: 09/01/2014

Molly is a cat for experienced cat owners only who understand patience, cat communication/body language and the need to allow the cat to bloom and bond 100% at their own pace over time. The home environment needs to be peaceful and tranquil, with no children under the age of 16. In addition to unrestricted access to a warm, safe home environment, Molly also requires safe restricted access to the outdoors - for example, a screened porch or safe outdoor area with cat-proof fencing - so he cannot wander away from the safety and care of the home.

More about this rescue

Siglinda Scarpa is a potter and a sculpter who owns 3 acres of fenced-in property in which she houses up to 258 homeless cats. The Refuge is a sanctuary for these cats, who never have to leave, but if they are adoptable, the cats are posted on our website and taken to adoption events in the community. The more cats that we find homes for, the more cats we can rescue.
