Bold, bouncy & beautiful!!!! That's our Buttons!!! She is a very lively 7 lb, 8 month old maltipoo (maltese/poodle) who has never met a stranger ... four-legged or two-legged! Give her pom poms and she'd be the perfect perky, little cheerleader! Buttons is always in motion & busy at play with the other 8 dogs in her foster home. She's definitely the life of the party and the center of attention, whether it's with her doggy friends or when meeting new people ... it doesn't matter! She the true social butterfly! She does like to cuddle with her foster mom once she's got the rough & tumble out of her system and can be found of an evening, napping contentedly in the chair with Mom & all her foster brothers & sisters piled around her.
Buttons is crate-trained and housebroken although a little extra vigilance might be in order if it is raining. She has learned to use the doggy door when nature calls and loves being outside just to explore especially if it has snowed. This smart little girl has also already mastered "sit" & "stay"! She is still in the puppy "chewing" phase and many toys have met their early demise due to her excessive attentions. They are now buried in shallow graves in the yard. 🙂
Buttons was abandoned in a crate on someone's porch on someone's porch on one of the coldest nights in December. Luckily the husband happened to go outside one last time before going to bed and found her or she'd have frozen to death before morning. Thank goodness for this wonderful couple who took her in and then asked us to find her a great home!
We understand that many people will want this breed & age of dog. They are in high demand. However, our priority is finding the home that is BEST for Buttons. Towards this end, WE WILL ONLY BE CONSIDERING PEOPLE WHO OWN THEIR OWN HOME; A YOUNG, PLAYFUL DOG; & A FENCED IN YARD. Although Buttons adores people, her real joy comes from engaging in tug of war, wrestling & games of chase with other dogs interspersed with explorations of the yard and this is what we desire for her in her forever home.
Buttons has been spayed, microchipped and is current on all her immunizations as well as monthly heartworm/flea preventative. Her adoption fee is $400.
