My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hickory is a laid back 11 month old boy. He is very easy to live with and is housetrained, crate trained, and has a number of trained basic skills. He’s a super loving boy who enjoys snuggling with his people, but is initially shy with strangers and needs a little time to warm up. He lives with a certified professional dog trainer, who will be available for his lifetime to answer all questions regarding training and behavior. Hickory is good with cats and lives with several other dogs currently. He could probably adapt quite successfully to a home with older children, but young children could be too much for him initially.

Hickory was born at our facility to a mom we pulled from the shelter 8 days before she gave birth. He was placed into our service dog training program, but along with his littermates, developed some shyness and aloofness with strangers as an adolescent. While he takes a little time to get to know, he is such a wonderful laid-back and loving boy! He enjoys toys and quietly snuggling with his people.
