My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little fella was at the Oconee County pound, along with 6 siblings. His mama was killed in an accident before her newborn family was old enough to be weaned, so they wound up at Animal Control with their future in grave doubt. Although the Oconee pound tries to move heaven and earth to save every dog they can, they don't have the staff to provide the 24 hour care that motherless newborns need. Fortunately one of our foster homes stepped into the breach, sacrificing much sleep to save these little bundles of joy. At the moment they are so young that their little personalities are just starting to emerge. Their current names reflect the ways their foster parents distinguish them for now - Rottie looks like a rottweiler, which makes him a handsome boy indeed. Of course, this is just a guess, since papa is unknown. Mama was a medium-sized dog who looked like a border collie / lab cross, so it's hard to say at this point how big he'll grow. He's a sweet and cuddly boy who's right in the middle of the pack in terms of size.
