My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beauty is Callista! Callista was such a wonderful mom to her four kittens, one of whom was a stray that she happily adopted, and she has been patiently waiting to find a forever home of her own. Callista is still very cautious around people, preferring to mostly keep to herself. She would do best in a quiet home with an experienced cat owner willing to help her overcome her tendency towards shyness. Please come meet her and see if you can give her a loving home where she'll be treated like a little princess! Approx. DOB: 05/04/2014

If interested in adopting from the Goathouse Refuge, please plan to take the following steps required in our adoption process:
1. Come for a Visit
2. Complete our online application: Visit our website (click link above or go to www.goathouserefuge.org under the 'adopt' tab).
3. Home Visit: All adoption applications will be reviewed by the refuge staff, and if the applicant seems to be a good fit for the cat(s) of interest, the refuge will contact the interested party to set up a home visit. Only after a representative of the refuge conducts a home visit will the refuge then consider continuing with the adoption process.

More about this rescue

Siglinda Scarpa is a potter and a sculpter who owns 3 acres of fenced-in property in which she houses up to 258 homeless cats. The Refuge is a sanctuary for these cats, who never have to leave, but if they are adoptable, the cats are posted on our website and taken to adoption events in the community. The more cats that we find homes for, the more cats we can rescue.
