Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Murphy is a sweet chi/doxie mix who is ready for happy days filled with lots of walks, toys to play with and multiple dog beds to choose from.
Our spunky Murphy is generally quiet, sleeps through the night and is mostly house trained. He is used to using a doggy door.
He can be a little stubborn, even snappy (he has no teeth) at times so needs a bit of patience from time to time. As his foster momma puts it, "He's happy for hours and gets cross for seconds." His family will need to be willing to continue to work with him on his growling and not be afraid.
It will just take time for him to be a cuddlier or he just may not be that kind of dog.
Murhpy loves loves going for walks and running around in the backyard. He is good with other dogs at the dog park and may do well with another dog in the home. He will need a home with no cats and no small kiddos.
When he came to us from the shelter, his poor mouth and skin were a mess. He had to have all of his teeth extracted and is now a toothless wonder. His skin in a little itchy from time to time and will likely require continued maintenance. He has some arthritis but the vet hasn’t recommended medication at this time.
We think he is about 9 years old and he weighs ~13 lbs.
Murphy is a fun dog to have around and he looks forward to many adventures with his forever family!
