My story

Pick me! Pick me! I'm Nana, a happy-go-lucky dog that loves to play and be by your side. My tail wags so hard that my booty shakes, and I give the best hugs! I take a little time to trust new people, but please be patient because once we are friends, I will give you all of my affection. I melt for belly rubs, and I'll wrap my paws around your hand and give you kisses. I'm two years old, about 50lbs and I look like a Dalmatian / Terrier mix or a cute spotted cow. I am the biggest flirt with male dogs, but need to warm up to new dog friends. I would also be happy to be your one and only dog diva. To know me is to love me so please complete an adoption application at www.abandonedpetrescue.orgTo meet this adoptable pet, please fill out an adoption application at www.abandonedpetrescue.org and a team member will contact you to schedule an appointment.

More about this shelter

Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.

APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
