Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Miss Harley is looking for her emotional support person! If you are looking for a pup who will be with you wherever you go, this is your gal.
Harley came to us when her previous owners were no longer able to care for her. She is a little older at 10, and because of her age and medical issue of a grade 4-5 heart murmur, we really want her next home to be the home she stays in for her remaining years.
Harley does have some anxiety issues, mostly with loud or mechanical noises. This last 4th of July was brutal for her, but her foster mom did whatever she could to keep her calm. A few other things give her some angst, but she does well staying by herself and makes sure the bed is safe from intruders while mom is away. Some dogs with anxiety are destructive, but there have been no issues with chewing or scratching.
Harley more than makes up for her phobias with the amount of attention she will shower on you, and the attention she allows you to give her. She is up for a belly rub any time, and will ask for them should you happen to forget. She is a great cuddler – she will make sure you are safe at night while you are sleeping. She is so very sweet and would soak up attention all day if she could.
This girl is so deserving of a great home and someone to love her forever. If you are not deterred by a couple of minor imperfections, fill out an adoption application and arrange to meet her. Because after all, nobody is perfect, right?
If you would like to meet Sweet Harley, please fill out VALLEY DOGS RESCUE online application form or email ADOPT@VALLEYDOGS.ORG. Thank you!
