My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Darby!

A handsome lad, Darby boasts a blend of Chinese Shar Pei and Siberian Husky, confirmed by a DNA test. At approximately 1 to 2 years old, Darby exudes charm and allure, drawing compliments wherever he goes. Indulging in belly rubs, kisses, and playtime with toys, Dary also loves cozy blankets, pillows, and tasty treats like cheese and peanut butter oatmeal squares.

Fully vaccinated, neutered, and adept at both house and crate training, His foster parents describe him as affectionate, playful, and brimming with energy.

Darby exhibits some apprehension around strangers, struggles with overstimulation, and is in the process of learning to walk more confidently.
Darby's foster parents have already enrolled in private training sessions with Shawn Thompson, an experienced trainer in Gilbert. Additionally, they have agreed to cover the cost of one transitional training session for the new adopter.

If you're ready to welcome Darby into your heart and home and give him understanding and that extra support, reach out to his foster Dad at CASEYJ327@GMAIL.COM. With Darby, you'll gain not only a furry friend but also a crate, collar, leash, toys, and a trusty hairbrush to start your journey together on the right paw.

Darby is a courtesy post with Valley Dogs Rescue.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

At Valley Dogs we make every effort to place the right animal in the right home. To aid in this goal, we use trained Adoption Consultants to help you select the best match for your lifestyle. You will meet with an Adoption Consultant and discuss your lifestyle, activity level, expectations, likes/dislikes, and past experiences with animals. Your consultant will then recommend the best match for your family and your lifestyle.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We do not own a kennel / shelter type facility. In most cases, we believe one of the effective and successful ways to match families and pets is to foster them in our own homes. Fostering dogs allows us to help train the dogs to have good doggie manners and allows us to learn about the dog's personality and character. Ultimately allowing us to give potential adopters complete information on the pet's behavior and how well he / she will fit with a family and lifestyle. Unfortunately, when we are not able to find the most appropriate foster home, we will on occasion utilize a private kennel on a case by case basis.
