My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tony is estimated to be about 13 years old. Very little is known about Tony’s life up until this summer when he showed up at a kind lady’s home asking for attention. It was evident that he had been out on his own for quite some time. He chose the right home to visit! The kind lady began to feed him and provide him shelter and became quite attached to him. She discovered that his favorite way to have treats was to be fed them by hand! He loves Greenies and Temptations especially. Unfortunately this first lady wasn’t able to bring him in to her home because of family members’ allergies and when the weather started to turn cold, she began to get worried about him and reached out to us to see if there was any way we might be able to help. Then another wonderful lady came into Tony’s life and was willing to foster him and provide inside shelter for him. He has started to become much more comfortable as he begins to realize that he no longer has to worry about where to find food or shelter.

Tony is now ready for the next loving person or family that is ready to continue his journey as an inside only cat for the rest of his life. Although we don’t know how long he was living outside, we know for sure that we don’t ever want him to live outside again. He deserves so much more than that! He is very friendly and purrs regularly whenever he gets the attention he craves. As an older guy, he enjoys a cushy pet bed and loves to be petted. Even with his outside life prior to finding these wonderful caring ladies to help him, he received a great report on his most recent visit at the vet where they reported that “he was a great kitty for us!” and he recently had a teeth cleaning and two teeth extracted so he will be all set for awhile. We were so glad that he received a good report. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, feline leukemia/FIV tested negative, and microchipped.

Tony’s long haired coat is already showing great improvement now that he no longer has to worry about the outside elements. His new family will need to keep him brushed in order to keep his coat beautiful. That will be a good opportunity for you to bond with him as an added bonus!

Contact us today to meet Tony and see if he may be the new furry family member you (and he) have been waiting for!
