Meet Eli!! Eli is an absolute love. He has a calm demeanor, does well with other dogs, loves car rides, barks at strangers, likes pets and is so affectionate. Eli came to Chi Town Rescue as a stray. He was found running down a busy street and was mere seconds away from being hit by a car but the owner of the rescue was able to get him to safety and into her car. Unfortunately, no owner ever came forward to claim him.

The rescue believes Eli is approximately 3 years old. During a veterinary exam, it was discovered that he has a severe heart murmur. He will need an owner that can provide for his veterinary care and lifelong medication. Because of his heart condition, a calm home and lifestyle is best (no hiking or activities that cause him to overexert himself. Leisurely walks and light play is ok).
