Meet Utah! Utah is currently at Chi Town Rescue waiting to be adopted. Utah came to the rescue with his two buddies, Unity and Uno, from a hoarding situation. Utah is a little shy when he first meets someone new and takes time to warm up. Once he knows and trusts you, he shows you his fun personality. Utah loves to go out to the play yard and if you sit with him, he'll definitely roll over to get lots of belly rubs. Utah doesn't play with toys very much, he would rather sniff and explore in the yard and then hanging out in his kennel for some chill time. Utah gets along with the other small dogs at the rescue but he doesn't like big dogs.

Utah is approximately eight years old but he is definitely a "young" eight year old that enjoys playing with his kennel mates and time out in the play yard. He is neutered, has a microchip and his updated vaccines. Utah needs an adopter who will give him time to adjust to a new home. Adoption fees are dependent on the age and breed of the animal as well as monthly or seasonal promotions. Please inquire directly as to fee of any animal you're interested in. We do require meet & greets and adopter to be present in person and provide valid id.

More about this rescue

"Chi Town" is short for "Chihuahua Town," which is our nick-name because we found that the majority of animals we were rescuing happened to be Chihuahuas and literally have a little “town” comprised of Chihuahuas! Chihuahuas are one of the most over-bred dogs in Arizona and unfortunately many end up in need of rescue. However, we are not limited to saving just Chihuahas, we do save other breeds dependent on availability of space. Chi Town also specializes in rescuing dogs who require a little extra TLC and are at risk of euthanasia at county shelters. These dogs may not be doing well for a variety of reasons- fear, fear aggression, anxiety, or a medical issue to name a few. These are the dogs that typically have no other outlet and for which time is of the essence . After our dogs are medically cleared and/or their behavioral issues have improved, they are available for adoption.

Please be aware that we do our very best to answer all questions in a timely manner.
