My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Coco and I am 3 years old. I’m a gentle and friendly girl. I’m housebroken and have already been spayed, so I’m ready to go home with you right away. I am happy and playful and am looking forward to fun adventures with my new family. I can also be quiet and independent depending on the situation, so if you want to just hang around the house, I’m happy with that too. I like to go for walks and can be reactive on leash, but I have been around other dogs and depending on the dog, I do okay. As for people, I love them! I am sensitive, affectionate and cuddly. I’m a good girl who is obedient, curious and smart. I would do well with some additional training and guidance to help me be the best girl I can be. I'm hoping I get a family of my very own who will love me, play with me, teach me and give me the attention I so enjoy. In return you'll get lots of love, a fun playmate and anytime cuddles. Check out my cute pics and if you want to know more about me or meet me in person please contact Martina Animal Rescue at

Love, Coco

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit rescue organization who helps rescue dogs and sometimes other animals from Contra Costa Animal Services as well as other local shelters; usually the scared, overlooked or often the ones off the euthanasia list. We also rescue dogs who have been injured or abandoned trying to keep them from having to go into the shelter after looking for an owner. We then place them in foster homes to decompress and learn to be part of a family as well as learn structure and boundaries. If needed and we can, we also have trainers that help prepare our dogs for adoption.
