My story

Meet Finley

1-year-old yr Shih Tzu/Terrier Chi male

Finley sheds and if you have allergies he is not the dog for you!

Finley is fully vaccinated, dewormed and neutered, and microchipped.

Great with adults and children over the age of 7.  We are looking for an active Family as that is where Finley is happiest.

We are looking for a family or Active Couple for this guy due to his energy level and needs.

No shared walls (Apartments, Townhouses or Condos)  This boy is a talker when he wants out of his kennel.  .

A home with a securely fenced locked yard is mandatory, with no exceptions.

Ideal home: Must be an active home, this boy loves to travel, hike, and play fetch. He would be great at agility all the while carrying his teddy bear everywhere.  Previous owners report he was too much for their cat. He is so playful he can be too much for some smaller dogs and cats.

Finley is good with older children and loves to play with them and be with Children who are respectful of boundaries NO Hugging!

Shedding: Yes. Not Hypoallergenic.
Finley sheds and if you have allergies he is not the dog for you.

100% Crate trained
House Training working on it.

Force-free dog obedience training classes are required as with all our rescues at Heart Prints Dog Rescue Society with Joanna at For The Love Of Paws Pet Services.

You can reach us at Heartprintsdogadoptions@gmail.com
Please tell us about yourself, your home and things you like to do. If you are a match you will be asked to fill out an adoption application. If you are not a match you will not be considered or contacted.

Why adoption is a great option

Finley, a Leduc Shih Tzu/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Chihuahua for sale in Leduc, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Leduc.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Leduc already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Leduc breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Chihuahua breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Leduc paves the way for another one to be saved.
