My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am GoldenEyes, the gallant and gentle-hearted. I can tell when you aren't feeling well and will come to be near you in case you need comfort. I have short hair so when I get cold, I like to snuggle in a bed or even better, find my foster sister and snuggle into her long fur. We recently moved into a new place that is much bigger than our old foster room so I'm adjusting to the new place with lots of play and I like to be held like a baby while you pet me. It makes me feel loved and safe. My foster sister, Princess Valentina, is my best friend and I would like to be adopted with her. She's a little more confident than I am so she helps me come out of my shell. We love to wrestle together and play tag. We have not been around dogs or kids so being adopted into a home without small children or dog would be the best option for us. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
