My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Mylow! I'm a very handsome boy who is bonded to my sister, Sawyer. We lived with our very own family for all of our lives but they're moving & couldn't find a place where all of us could live together so CAWS took us in to find our fur-ever home. We love all people that we've met including kids. We are fine with other cats and we've also lived with dogs. A funny quirk about me is that I really enjoy rubbing on my humans feet to be scratches. I am not fond of being held though. If you have room in your heart & your home for a lovely pair of siblings, we may be just who you're looking to adopt. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationMay 12, 2024, 7:05 am

Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.

Founded in 1992 the Community Animal Welfare Society ( CAWS) is one of the oldest no-kill animal rescues in Utah. Over the last 20 years CAWS, our fosters and supporters have saved thousands of lives including over 600 last this year.
