My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB 3-1-2021. Mantis and his 4 litter mates came from a hoarding situation and were very scared babies. All his siblings have been adopted and he is now our longest resident. In the time he's been with us, he has have made a lot of progress from bouncing off walls to letting us pet him. With more work and love the last one of the "Furious Five" (from Kung Fu Panda) won't be so furious. Mantis has recently developed ulcerative stomatitis therefore, he needs a diet supplemented with wet food in the event he is having gum pain. He can still live a long and healthy life, he just needs to be in a single kitty home and his adopter needs to be proactive in health check-ups if he gets sick. Please give this little guy a chance.

His adoption fee is discounted to $42.50 as a long term resident.

More about this shelter

In 1978 a group of neighbors got together to provide foster homes and find families for the ever-increasing number of stray animals roaming the Tri-Lakes area. As the program grew, it became apparent that a shelter facility was necessary. After ten years of fund raising, the Tri-Lakes Humane Society opened in June, 1988!

We are a no-kill 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides temporary shelter for stray and abandoned animals while seeking to find them permanent homes. We receive no state or local funding and rely solely on public donations.
