My story

Meet Emma, a beautiful, fluffy tortoiseshell. This sweet girl is only a couple of years old. She was found as a stray in San Pablo and a sweet couple took her in.

She is very friendly. She loves to make biscuits to show her happiness. While she can be a little unsure for the first few minutes in a new situation, she acclimates quickly! Sweet Emma doesn’t seem to be bothered by other cats. We’re not sure about dogs though.

The kind couple that brought her inside has set her up comfortably for now. But she would really love her own forever home.

If you are interested in meeting Emma, please contact Debbie at Jake’s Place. She can be reached at: 415-548-0824 or adoptions@jakesplacecatrescue.org.

Emma is considered a Courtesy Listing. We offer our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cats.

Why adoption is a great option

Emma, a Novato Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Novato, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Novato.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Novato already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Novato breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Novato paves the way for another one to be saved.
