My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPTION FEE REDUCED with APPROVED APPLICATION. www.safehaventn.com

Banjo is a handsome 4-year-old fellow who found himself on death row. Thanks to a foster we were able to pull him and get him safe.

He is heartworm negative, neutered, micro chipped and dog friendly. Cats unknown. He is about 55 lbs. We will require a physically 6' fenced yard.

He likes toys and acts like a puppy at times. He would be best in a home with older children (12+) because he is still working on some manners and may be a little much for smaller children.

He is a sweet boy just looking for a family to call his own. Please give this guy a chance, he won't disappoint you!

If you think you can be that family for Banjo, please fill out our adoption application on our website at www.safehaventn.com . We are happy to set up a meet and greet for the approved application. His adoption fee is $100.00 and he is being fostered in Cookeville, TN. Out of state adoptions are considered on a case by case basis depending on the dog.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

First step in our process is to submit an application through our website. They are reviewed and we contact those who could be a good match

2.

Interview

Phone interview to get more information about you, your family and tell you more about the pup(s) you are interested in.

3.

Approve Application

Once we approve an application, we set the status of the pup to "Adoption Pending" and schedule a home visit and meet and greet.

4.

Home Check

We arrange a meet and greet and home visit if within distance. If all goes well we will finalize adoption at the end of this meeting.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with submitting an Adoption Application which can be found on our website at www.safehaventn.com. From there you will be contacted by one of our Adoption Coordinators. Our adoption donations are usually $150 for adult dogs and $200 - $300 for puppies - depending on the animal, breed, etc. We expect that our pets will live indoors, and will be adopted to families who have the desire to add another family member to their home. A vet reference is required.
