My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**I am located in Georgia, but I can be transported north to you!**

Name: Harper aka Pocus
Breed: Lab, Vizsla, Other
Sex/Age/Weight: Male/approx bday is 10-13-21/40lbs
Vetting: Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, neutered, on heartworm prevention, and microchipped
House trained/Crate Trained: Yes/yes

Dogs/Cats/Children: Fine with other dogs, good with cats but would not leave unsupervised with them, untested with children.

Energy Level: Relaxed energy indoors, high energy outdoors

Before FAR: Born into rescue and adopted as a small pup. Returned at about 6 months old through no fault of my own, and now I'm looking for my true furever family.

Training Status/Commands I know: Sit, place, go to bed, trained to go in crate when needed

Working on: Improving leash training, stay, calming down and being more respectful around other dogs/socialization skills, learning not to jump up on people when I'm excited.

Things I like: hard toys like Nylabones, sniffing EVERYTHING outside, riding in cars (still a bit nervous about getting in them at first), and following my person everywhere they go.

Things I don’t like: Sharing my food bowl (see special notes).

Ideal Family/Home: Someone who will like to play outside with me a lot, take me on walks, and be patient with me since I'm still a young dog and learning about everything in life.

Special Notes:
I like to resource guard my food bowls, but nothing else (my foster mom takes toys out of my mouth all the time when we are playing). This is easy to work with and all you have to do is hand feed me, or if you have to put my food in a bowl sometimes, feed me inside my crate with the door closed.

I am potty trained but I'm young and can't hold my bladder quite as long as some older dogs. I just need to be taken out in a timely manner and don't let me drink too much before bedtime.
