Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Sage and I am 4-5 yr old cattle dog mix. I have had a bit of a "ruff" past; but, my future is looking pretty bright...well at least what I can see of it out of my one eye. My previous owner didn't take very good care of me. I was allowed to run loose and I got hit by a car which resulted in a severe eye injury. Once in rescue it was determined that my eye needed to be removed for me to live a happy, healthy life. I'm all healed up now and ready to find my furever family. I an be a little shy when I first meet you; but, I warm up quickly and then I will shower you with unconditional love and lots of doggy hugs. I am very loyal to my person and want nothing more than to be by your side at all times. My foster mom thinks I would make a great ESA dog. I am tolerant of other mellow dogs (puppies/young dogs are too much for me); but would prefer to be the only dog in the home. I have not be tested with cats and would not do well in a home with small/young children. Older, dog savvy kids would be OK. I have a moderate energy level and walk like a dream on a leash. I am house-broken, crate-trained (I will actually retreat to my crate if I feel overwhelmed), and up-to-date on my vaccinations.
