My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pebbles is approximately 7 years old. We don’t have a DNA analysis for her but we’re pretty sure that she has some Maine Coon in her heritage based on many of her features.

Her foster mom says “Pebbles is a riot.” She loves to play and is constantly carrying her toys around. She particularly likes squeaky mice and anything with feathers is just awesome!

She also loves her window seat and is in it all day when the sun is out. She loves to have her belly rubbed and often can be found flopping herself down on her back to receive as many belly rubs as she can get.

Pebbles came into the Rescue with her sister Hannah after her previous family member went into a care facility and they couldn’t follow her. They are not bonded but do tolerate each other as they have lived together for many years so if you are looking for two cats to join your family, perhaps these are the two for you but they will do fine in a home without each other as well. She has never lived with dogs or small children so a home without those may be best. Other cats will likely be fine as long as proper introductions are made.

Because of her long coat, Pebbles’ family will need to brush her often to make sure her coat does not get tangled or matted. They may also need to assist her with some grooming occasionally since she also has a few extra pounds on her that doesn’t make grooming as easy as it would be if she lost a little weight.
