Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Fenway and I am a handsome little black Terrier mix about 6 months old, and I weigh 13 lbs. I am a total sweetheart, friendly and kind from the very first moment a police officer picked me up. I was a street dog/puppy, which means I did not have an owner. My sister and I were born in San Antonio in a bad part of town and lived in a neighborhood with many other dogs just hanging around. People feed us scraps of food and much of our day is spent hiding underneath bushes for shelter and safety. In an effort to save us from this miserable life, a local police offer tries to catch us and turns us over to dog rescues. Sadly, my sister was killed when hit by a car but I was fortunate and taken in by 4 Little Paws Rescue. On my first trip to the vet, it turned out I had an old injury to my hip that needed surgery. A couple of months later, I am healed and happy and can walk using all 4 legs. The one leg will always be a bit shorter and other than it looking goofy until my hair grows back in, it doesn't hinder my mobility or bother me at all! I run and play like nothing ever happened. My foster mom says I am sweet, outgoing, friendly, and playful and I get along great with other dogs. I love all people, men or women, and I'm a great playmate for kids! I am affectionate and I enjoy snuggles and belly rubs. I am learning some housebreaking skills and leash walking and doing well with both. I recently moved to Connecticut so I can find a forever family and get my life started. After living on the streets, my needs are few. Just being safe is good enough, but I might as well wish for a cozy dog bed and some doggy toys too!
