My story

Bentley is an adorable 4-year old male Chihuahua/Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on June 23, 2022 by a Good Samaritan who found him on Ingleside Avenue in Marietta Ohio (Norwood neighborhood area). Bentley was accompanied by his best friend Bear (who is a tan/cream Chihuahua mix). Neither of the boys were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped.

Bentley has a black-and-brindle short smooth coat with a patch of white on his chest, a long tail, and a beautiful face with dark eyes, a black button nose on his slender muzzle, and large semi-erect ears.

This little guy was understandably pretty nervous and frightened being in an unfamiliar place with people that he did not know (and so many other dogs nearby). Bentley doesn't quite grasp the fact that our kennel techs are his 'guardian angels' who are looking out for his best interests and our shelter staff are doing their best to locate his family.

Bentley weighs 23.6 lbs. He doesn't appear to be accustomed to walking on a leash.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Bentley will be held for three days so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership.
