My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Weight: 60lbs
Special considerations: active adopter required

Meet Chase! This active boy is super friendly with everyone he meets, person and dog alike! He has limited range of motion in his jaw so he didn’t cut it as a hunting dog, but he still loves to work and run! He is a great hiking buddy and loves learning all kinds of tricks. He is very smart but gets anxious when he doesn’t get enough stimulation, so he’s looking for someone who will provide a lot of enrichment and socialization.

Aptly named, he does love to chase so he would do best in a home without cats, but he loves other dogs. Some of his best friends at the shelter are Bailey and Bentley (both available for adoption!), though we haven’t found a dog he doesn’t like. If you’re looking for a tricolor cutie for all your adventures, call us about Chase!

Chase is current on vaccines, neutered and microchipped.

More about this rescue

Founded by Vivian Goldbloom in 2013, Emerald City Pet Rescue exists to rescue abused, neglected, and homeless animals from high-volume shelters around the country.

We pride ourselves on providing the best medical care possible for our rescued animals and rehabilitating hard-to-adopt animals to help them increase their chances of finding loving homes.

Our screening process includes meet and greets, reference checks, and a visit to the potential owner’s home to ensure the home and family are compatible with the pet’s needs and our requirements. We do everything we can to ensure that loving homes are found for these amazing pets.

Emerald City Pet Rescue is run by dedicated staff and volunteers who give their time and resources to house, train, rehabilitate, and care for our animals. Above all else, we truly believe that Love Can Save Lives.
