My story

Look at this lil face! This sweet girl has not had a good life, only knowing a life of living in an outside kennel, producing litter after litter in her short 2-3 years of life. Jaycee was afraid of everything and everyone. But in just a few weeks, she has come out of her shell and wants to cuddle and be loved! Jaycee is fully vetted, and a mere 9 lbs.
Sadly, she is heartworm positive, as heartworm prevention was not a priority for her breeder. But she is being treated and will be rid of them in no time! She can join her new home and continue her treatment without any activity restrictions. The rescue will cover her treatment at our vet. Jaycee has lived with other dogs and cats. She is kennel/ crate trained. Will you be the one who gives her the life she so deserves, especially after such a rough start? If you feel you have the love to give, are willing to teach her about life indoors with a family, and live in the Central Florida area, please send in an application and let us know more about your family.

Why adoption is a great option

Jaycee, a Sanford Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Sanford, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Sanford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sanford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sanford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sanford paves the way for another one to be saved.
