My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maize is a female, mixed-breed dog who is about 2.5 yo  (DOB 9-22-21). Maize is a smart and active puppy who isn’t shy to introduce herself. She loves to run, climb, jump, and explore. Maize will make an excellent companion for someone with an active lifestyle looking for a sidekick. She is adorably unique, with big ears and white socks. She comes from the California central valley, where she is being fostered in a home with other dogs, both large and small, old and young. Maize is crate trained, spayed, up-to-date on her shots and is ready to join you on any adventures! Could you use an a-maize-ing companion like Maize? If so, please contact us at howlelujah.rescue@gmail.com

More about this rescue

Howlelujah Rescue is a small, volunteer run, foster based, all breed, non-profit rescue. All our of work is supported through our adoption fees and donations. We can only rescue as many dogs as we can ethically and safely house and support, so we are always looking for responsible and committed volunteers. We believe that the most effective way of supporting our community is to give back at the community level. In addition to animal rescue, we support our community by working to keep pets with the owners that love them; helping provide food, vaccinations, and low cost spay and neuter options to reduce the the number of animals entering our local county run shelter or being dumped on our streets.
