My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We would like to introduce you to our cute little soon-to-be house hippo, Aldo! Aldo was found as a stray outside of Aldi's, and we think he was getting ready to go shopping because he was a very hungry guy when we picked him up. We believe he has been a stray for some time due to how dirty, hungry, and nervous he was at first. Aldo has a big personality and loves to be loved on. He loves to get his whole body rubbed and will wiggle with excitement. He is very playful, loves toys, and can be a little rambunctious at times. However, a daily walk will greatly help with this. He is on the stronger side with his leash manners, but is listening well to corrections. Aldo sits in a heartbeat for a treat, and is catching onto "lay down," and has this cuddly side. Our adorable Aldo is about 2–2.5 years old.

We believe that Aldo needs to be the only pet in the home at this time, and will require a privacy fence because he is a bit of an escape artist! We do not recommend very small children in the home just due to perfecting their manners and occasional jumping. If you are looking for an active companion, a loyal best friend, and are willing to commit to helping this boy continue to thrive, and have a very adorable house hippo……..please message us to set up a meet and greet with Aldo!
