My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Luciano - Neutered Male. Approximate DOB is 4/27/2022. Luciano is current on his vaccines and is tested for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FELV) and is NEGATIVE. He is a SH Black and White. Luciano was rescued by LAS after he was reported living and hiding in the shrubs all alone at a local BP station. He was seen for days by staff and reported to us. He is darling and coming around to be such a sweet, social and playful boy! He is looking for a loving home and family! He will need time to adjust to a new home from shelter life. If you would like to meet Luciano or any other kittens at our shelter in Avon, please complete a pre-adoption application found on our website at

More about this rescue

Love A Stray is an all volunteer, no-kill, animal rescue organization for cats and dogs serving primarily Lorain and Cuyahoga counties in Ohio. Our mission is four-fold:

1. To decrease the pet overpopulation by employing aggressive low-cost spay/neuter programs which includes not only adoptable animals but also spay/neuter assistance programs for families who otherwise would not be able to sterilize their pet. We also alter feral cats through trap/neuter/release (TNR) programs.

2. To rescue homeless animals and, when necessary, provide medical treatment including emergency veterinary care.

3. To nurture rescue animals through innovative behavior rehabilitation, when applicable, and to place them from foster families into permanent homes.

4. To educate the public on the importance of being an advocate for animals emphasizing humane treatment and sterilization.
