Leia and Rey MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions.
Leia was rescued from a horrible hoarding situation with several of her siblings. Leia's previous owner reluctantly surrendered her knowing that it was the only way for Leia and her brothers and sisters to get the care they so desperately needed.
Once Leia was brought to her foster home, it was discovered that Leia was suffering from a reaction to being bitten by fleas which caused her to develop a blood parasite called Haemobartonella. This blood parasite attacks the red blood cells in the body and destroys them. When Leia was taken to the hospital, the veterinarian said that she was so extremely anemic, she wasn't quite sure how Leia was still alive. The veterinarian also didn't give Leia good odds of surviving. ☹
But Leia's foster mom and PPCR were not going to let Leia go without a fighting chance. Leia was immediately put on an intensive antibiotic therapy regime, fluids, supplements and a wet food high in iron, plus lots of TLC. Her blood work was also checked periodically to make sure she was improving.
Fast forward several months later, Leia has beaten all the odds to become a healthy, happy kitten with a zest for life! She has overcome so much in her short little life, but she never let any of it get her down and she is now ready to find her forever home!
This gorgeous feline is a snuggle-bug to the nines! She loves evening time the best...when everything is winding down and she can become a lap kitty! She is also a very good office helper who sits on her foster mom's lap while she is working on the computer.
Leia can be a little shy at first, but once she knows you, she becomes a very confident girl who begs for attention.
She is especially close to her sister Rey...they spend hours playing, napping and sunbathing together. These two do not like be separated.
Both Leia and Rey would do best in a quiet home without small children. Respectful dogs are ok, as they have become besties with their current foster dog.

Leia is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.
She currently lives with her foster family in West Sacramento .

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!
