Meet Bixby! This handsome, young guy is a total catch of a dog. Bixby is fantastic with other dogs of any size, male or female. He loves to run and play with other dogs. No Cats please. We frequently use him as a tester dog because he is pretty good at matching the other dogs' energy, even though he is very playful. Bixby could use a little training (basic manners, like not jumping up to greet people), but has a fun, confident, friendly, playful personality that you just can't teach, and will be a fantastic dog for an active family. He loves swimming, running, hiking, playing and would be a great adventure dog. He also minds his manners out in public and has done great at multiple events, with every person and dog he meets. He knows some obedience like sit, shake, and down and did well in a crate at night when he was on a doggy pass. He is a very intelligent boy that picks up new commands and ideas very quickly, and he just needs that right home to put just a little effort into him. Come meet this great boy at our shelter!

If you have any other animals, we assist with introductions to make sure that they all get along. If all these things go good, that’s it!

Fresno Bully Rescue (FBR) is a volunteer-based, non-profit, no-kill rescue and shelter dedicated to rescuing bully breed dogs (i.e. American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, American Bull Dogs, Bull Terriers, etc.). We are here to provide a healthy and loving temporary home while we look for forever homes for our shelter dogs. We are one of the only breed-specific, no-kill rescues with an actual kennel-facility in California. We house over 45 adult dogs at our facility (with many more puppies and adults in foster homes). Our pet adoption program and support is tailored to help find you the best match for your family and start it off right! We are a 501 (c) (3) public charity and all donations are tax deductible.
