PHYSICAL FENCE REQUIRED

PLEASE READ

Sophia is a sweet, two year old SheepDog/Poodle Mix.  She was extremely frightened and shy when arriving a week ago, but each day she is doing a little bit better. She lives with other dogs in her foster home and does well.  She LOVES to be out playing in the grassy fenced yard.  Lately, she is getting closer on her own and watching her foster mom; occasionally giving her foster mom's hand a little lick. Coming to us from a situation where she had access to a dog door, Sophia is doing great with housetraining. If no dog door is available, if she is placed on a schedule and given adequate opportunity to go outside - she should do fine.  She is also crate trained.  A FENCE is highly recommended. She loves to be outside and due to her shyness, she could be a flight risk.  An Electronic fence may not be a good choice for her and may cause her to become more fearful. Sophia is up to date with vaccines, on flea/tick/heartworm prevention has been spayed.

Please understand that Sophia needs a committed adopter who will give her time to blossom into a great companion. She is coming along day by day in her foster home--but she has little experience outside of a kennel environment.  She'll need patience, understanding, training, and love.  She will need to be leash trained. Given time and patience she will be a wonderful companion.
