My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stardust is 4 years old and weighs 12 pounds.  She's spayed and microchipped; however, she is not up to date on her vaccines. Also, guardian has vet records to substantiate Stardust is Feline Leukemia and Feline HIV negative.  Stardust especially dislikes loud noices, being left alone too long, and guardian's husband.  She does well in a carrier in the vehicle, but is unsure about a long drive.

SCRATCH/LUNGE/ATTACK INCIDENT:  In August 2022, Stardust scratched guardian's daughter out of fear when she was reassuring her about hissing at guardian's husband.  The scratch broke the skin, but no medical attention was necessary, as it was nothing serious, just a common cat scratch.  Animal Control was not involved, either.

Guardian states the following relative to surrender:  " As Stardust aged, her sensitivity to sound has increased and she lives in a deaf family house.  She would not leave our daughter's room at all after the COVID quarantine.  She also developed fear towards my husband over years, she would give him a warning sign of lunging half way and hissing.  We suspect it may be from my husband's infamous 'earthquake' sneezes. "

Stardust's guardian states the following about children:  Stardust lives with children, ages 15 and 12.  " Stardust is great with any kind of friendly humans; however, she would prefer to smell and pet them first before they do.  I am sure she would hide when they are young, 'noisy' kids. "

Stardust's guardian states the following about dogs:  Stardust has not lived with or otherwise been around dogs.  " I've seen Stardust go all puffy when she heard a dog panting, but I'm unsure how she would react when she faced one. "

Stardust's guardian states the following about cats:  Stardust lives with cats.  " It is highly recommended Stardust have a company of cat(s).  She is great with any cats.  I have seen how she tries to win their hearts if need to.  It will also help her anxiety a lot. "

Stardust's guardian describes her ideal home:  "  Stardust needs to be in a quieter home and another company of cat/s and or human who stays home most of the times. She is an unique cat who would pet you the most and she would drool when she feels overwhelmed from being affectionate. Please note that her sign of anxiety is the excessive licking on her right side near leg when she is home alone too long. "
