My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweeter than your Halloween candy, Aurora is hoping her spell finds her the family of her dreams. She has been back with us since December and has been patiently waiting for her furever family to find her.

She is 3 years old and 75 lbs fluffy Great Pyrenees mix. Needs someone with working dog experience as she’s a natural guardian dog. Prefers calm environment (fast paced kids and sudden movements make her nervous). Hands that never stop petting. Yard space to roam, play and sun bathe. Respect and patience for slow introductions to new people (my foster mommy will teach you my ways). Chill canines (I’m an easy going player). Likes car rides and quiet walks. Just show her the leash she can barely contain her excitement. Comfy sofa preferably with a view. Having company? - don’t worry she’s ok hanging out in another room if the environment gets too much.

Other things to know:
 no cats
resource guarding

If she sounds like the dog for you go to  www.pack9rescue.org/applications  to apply and put AURORA as your future dog! She’ll be waiting in Westminster, MD until then!

We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs.  Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all-volunteer organization, and we are always looking for more help. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at www.pack9rescue.org or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption.

See upcoming events below where PA Caring for K9’s will be with some of our adoptable dogs!

Saturday, December, 16, 2023 10am-1pm Lowe’s in East York (2449 E Market St, York, PA 17402)

Please check our Facebook page closer to each event as we will update daily with dogs who will be attending. All are invited to meet our dogs, but only pre-approved adopters with all household humans and dogs present will be able to adopt at the event. Apply today at https://www.pack9rescue.org/applications/ to become pre-approved.
