My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stormin' Norman is in the house!

Quick Facts:
Breed: Hound-ish!
Size: Roughly 45# right now, we can't imagine him getting MUCH bigger into his adulthood, and we're guestimating around 55#, but we've been wrong before.
Age: 7 months (as of 10/2022)

Norman Bates was brought into the rescue after he found himself in the shelter system for several months. He has adjusted to life with adventures and access to couches with no complaints, & loves to be included in all the things. Our boy has lots of energy and would love a fenced yard or an active family to help him exert that energy (tired puppies are great puppies!). He loves to play fetch, chasing his foster family's remote control car, learning new commands, car rides and chewing on his large selection of toys.

He doesn't particularly enjoy dog park environments, but he has done well with all dogs he has met with a proper introduction thus far. He walks well on a leash, but does pull a little when he's excited. Norman Bates is being fostered with some kitties + wants so desperately to be their friend. He hasn't formally met children yet, but is a friendly guy overall, though he is working on his basic manners and has a tendency to jump. If you lack durable, no-limit-solider children.. at this time in his puppy-hood, Norman Bates may be best suited for a home with children over the age of 8.

Norman Bates is house trained and crate trained, though he is open to bribery to get him in the crate initially.

Puppies require training, so Norman Bates is no different. Expect to work to potty train your newest addition as well as work with them on their basic obedience. We highly encourage enrolling your new addition in training courses to teach obedience and socialization skills. Please remember puppies are A LOT of work and are a commitment for life. This puppy may be mixed with pit bull - we do not know.
