My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jasmine, a lovely senior calico cat (12 years old and will turn 13 in February 2023). Sweet Jasmine had been at a shelter for six long months before a lovely woman came forward and adopted her.

Jasmine is a quiet cat, very well-behaved, and very gentle. She was put on fluoxetine for mild depression and anxiety while living at the shelter and she is still on it now. She has been diagnosed with a galloping heart and a benign growth in her throat. The vet that examined her thinks that she probably has allergies that caused the growth. Neither condition is life threatening however, and all of her medical records are in order.

Sadly, the wonderful woman who brought Jasmine home has recently discovered that she will need to be traveling more in the coming months and Jasmine is very nervous around other caretakers and will hide/refuse to eat. That would be okay for one-off occasions but not on a consistent basis. :(

Her current caregiver is devastated to have to re-home Jasmine and never anticipated a situation like this. She has a very quiet house where Jasmine is loved and well taken care of and has her own bedroom and bathroom, but that is not enough to bridge the gaps when Jasmine will be cared for by strangers, disrupting her daily routine and causing her great distress.

Jasmine needs a quiet home with “parents" who don't go away much. She would likely not do well with children or other pets. She is a gentle, very quiet, and very special cat. Would you like to get to know this beauty?

Jasmine is considered a Courtesy Listing. We offer our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cats.
