My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there! My name is Saylor and I am so glad you have stopped by to hear my story and learn a little bit about me.

If there is one thing I LOVE to do, it’s talk. I have to admit it’s taken my foster Mom a couple of weeks to understand what I was saying, but she’s come a long way.

When I joined the NRGRR family, I learned a new term: Velcro Dog. And it describes me perfectly. Where you go, I go. You see, I’m new to this family life and I don’t want to miss a second of it. Need to see who’s at the door – I’m going with you. Time to fix dinner – I’m going with you. Need to go to the bathroom – I’m going with you.

I love my person and I’m sad if they leave me behind. Sometimes it takes me a little while to settle down, so it’s probably better if I’m not in an apartment – remember, I’m a talker.

Truthfully, my ideal home would be just me and Mom. (Sorry dads, I’m a Mama’s girl.)

I loved when my foster Mom’s grandchildren came to visit. I’m super gentle when they give me a treat or want to pet me and I love cleaning up the crumbs under a high chair.

Do you have a cat or other small pet? Then I’m not your girl. Chasing cats is just so much fun! If you have other dogs, I’m OK with that. My foster Mom says I tend to reflect the energy of the dogs I encounter. So calm dogs keep me calm. Anxious dogs make me anxious too. I did great right off the bat with my foster Mom’s calm older dog. I learned to settle in nicely when a young, male dog came to spend the week. He was a little wild but within just a few hours, we were fine together.

I’m new to the leash thing and when I see someone or something I’m curious about, I’ll head over to check it out – totally forgetting I’m on a leash. I’m strong and can pull. My foster Mom is working on it and I’m getting better.

I really am an easy dog with just a few quirks that you will learn to love.

I’m sure you will agree that I should become a part of your family! Reach out to the good people at NRGRR and let’s set up a time to meet.
