My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Herman is STILL in boarding while he waits for his forever home. His room is filled with his favorite orthopedic bed and the cushiest, coziest blankets we can find. He gets to play all day long with his friends and is loved on by the staff 24/7. But longterm boarding is hard on even the happiest dog, especially a senior one who deserves the comforts that home live can provide. He longs to romp around in the backyard and go on short walks, to sploot with this froggy legs while watching tv with his new family, and to fully embody couch potato life, which isn’t something a boarding facility can provide.
Hermie is great with other dogs socially but is very fond of his space, especially his toys and food, so his ideal home would be one where he doesn’t have to worry about sharing after the long years of fending for himself as a stray, or one with a chill lady who understands the concept of personal space. No cats, please! If you can’t adopt, please consider fostering this ✨ gentle ✨ man. He deserves to spend his golden years in a HOME.

Herman is estimated 10 years old, and other than some arthritis that we manage on his more active days, he is totally healthy.
It’s obvious that Herman has spent time in a home before. He has ALL the house manners already, he comes when called, even from all the way from the back of the yard, and he knows where to lay in the kitchen to catch a few crumbs.
Herman’s ideal home would have a nice big comfy bed for him to relax in, and a yard where someone would play ball with him. He will even bring it back to you. He truly lights up when you bring toys out to play with him.
