Remember those super cute puppies we just posted about?

Well we would like to take a moment to spotlight this super star, MOM! Lacey has been taking on all her mom duties like a champ, and we keep telling her soon enough life is gonna be alllllll about her.

Lacey’s favorite part of being a mom is getting all the extra food and snacks foster mom has been giving her.

She has also been living for her napping breaks away from her hungry hungry children.

She has been generally low energy and hasn’t shown a lot of interest in things like toys or playing so far, but we expect to learn lots about her as the puppies grow and she can start to focus on herself.

We do know that Lacey is heckin’ sweet as can be. She wags her tail the moment you walk in the room, and she wiggles her whole body when she is really excited (mostly for food haha) She has a very gentle disposition, and she gets nervous around loud noises, but we are making sure she knows she is safe with us now.

Lacey is dog and cat friendly, crate trained and still working on potty training. Mom isn’t available for adoption yet as her babies need her for a couple more weeks, but soon this girlie will be looking for her forever home, so keep your eye out so you don’t miss out on a gem of a houndy.

When you adopt a dog from Swamp Haven, you’re not just saving a life. You’re beginning a journey filled with love, loyalty and trust. Life can be busy and stressful. The companionship of a dog is a constant reminder to slow down and enjoy the little things. At Swamp Haven, our mission isn’t to just help down-on-their-luck dogs find their forever homes. Our mission is to create a lasting relationship with you and your family.
Adopt happiness. Our adoption process is unique in that we work with you every step of the way to ensure that we’re placing the right dog with the right family. First, chat with us about what you’re looking for in a dog and we will set up a time for you to meet the lucky pup. From there, fill out an application. Once reviewed we set up a time to bring your potential pup to your house for a home visit and trial week. We want to make sure it’s the right fit for both your family and the dog involved. We will be totally available during the trial week for any questions or concerns. The last step is to finalize the adoption. And then congrats, you’re a new member of the Swamp Haven family and your happy tail has just begun!

Swamp Haven is an animal rescue organization that takes down-on-their-luck dogs and nurtures them back to a healthy mental and physical state, so they can find their forever home. Our goal is simple. We save innocent dogs that have been overlooked by society and provide short-term care including vetting (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and heartworm and flea prevention) and training to learn how to walk politely on a leash, play in a pack and live calmly and lovingly in their new home.
