Meet Papaya – A Sweet Soul Waiting for Her Happily Ever After
Gentle, soft-hearted Papaya has been with us since she was a very young puppy, patiently waiting for someone special to see just how truly lovely she is. The last of her litter still searching for a forever home, she’s been overlooked time and time again — but we know her perfect match is out there.
Papaya would blossom in a quiet, moderately active home with patient humans who can show her the joys of being a beloved companion. While she may be shy at first, once she opens up, her beautiful smile and bright spirit make every moment worth the wait.
She’s grown up alongside many dogs here at the shelter and has discovered that she feels most comfortable with confident, friendly male pups. They help her feel safe, calm, and a little braver each day.
Papaya already knows some basics like “Sit” and “Wait,” and she’s working on mastering her leash skills. Curious and intelligent, she’s eager to learn and will thrive with someone willing to spend time helping her build confidence and trust.

Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert.
All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.
The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300
(unless a reduced fee applies )
