My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lissa - Spayed Female. Approximate DOB is 11/1/2021. Lissa is current on her vaccines and has been tested NEGATIVE for Feline Aids (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FELV). She is a Short Haired Brown Tabby. She is a petite girl!! Lissa came to us from Sheffield Lake found in someone's yard along with her Mom who had sadly, already had another litter of kittens. Lissa is very sweet, social and playful! She is a pretty girl who would love to have a forever home. She will need time to adjust to life in a home from cage / shelter life.
If you would like to meet her, please complete a pre-adoption application found on our website at www.loveastraycat.com

More about this rescue

Love A Stray is an all volunteer, no-kill, animal rescue organization for cats and dogs serving primarily Lorain and Cuyahoga counties in Ohio. Our mission is four-fold:

1. To decrease the pet overpopulation by employing aggressive low-cost spay/neuter programs which includes not only adoptable animals but also spay/neuter assistance programs for families who otherwise would not be able to sterilize their pet. We also alter feral cats through trap/neuter/release (TNR) programs.

2. To rescue homeless animals and, when necessary, provide medical treatment including emergency veterinary care.

3. To nurture rescue animals through innovative behavior rehabilitation, when applicable, and to place them from foster families into permanent homes.

4. To educate the public on the importance of being an advocate for animals emphasizing humane treatment and sterilization.
